Hi everyone!
Before we start.. this newsletter is supposed to be about productivity, BUT I was out to dinner with my fiancé, V, last night and after explaining that I planned to write about productivity for my Substack, he said some fancy stuff about “value added” and “return on investment.” I asked if he wanted to be interviewed for my newsletter… and he said yes!
His job as the Director of Project Management & Process Improvement is all about productivity and making systems run better, so it’ll be insightful (and fun) to get his outside perspective on what it means to be productive as a creative. I’ll interview him this week and share it with you next week. I’m really excited for it!
In the meantime, check out all these incredible productivity hacks from fellow illoguilders!
Finding Color Palettes
Successful teams have members with various strengths, because everyone can’t be amazing at everything. When a team is able to recognize their strengths and weaknesses, tasks can be delegated to whoever can do them best.
Although I’m a one-woman team, I know my strengths and weaknesses. One of my weaknesses is choosing an effective color palette. I’ve accepted this weakness and have learned to delegate color picking to other professionals.
What I mean by that is… I’ve been collecting resources about color palettes. By leaning on the expertise from people whose strength is color, I’m able to learn about color and select effective palettes. Today I’m sharing what I’ve learned and resources I’ve collected.
