Hi everyone!

About 6 months ago, I accepted a new book commission and decided to put my painting skills to the test by illustrating it with gouache. At the beginning of the project, I asked myself, “How many tubes of paint does it take to illustrate a picture book?”

Here’s my most recent book, and hopefully the first of many illustrated with gouache!

I had no idea how many supplies I was going to need or how much to increase my fee based on supplies. So if you’re curious about the same question, I’m here to share about my experience now that I have finished the book!
