When I first started illustration, I heard so much negative dialogue about self-publishing. I vowed that I would only work with traditional publishers. It seemed “better” or “safer.”

Two years later, my opinion has changed so much! I have illustrated two books for authors who self-published, and I wonder why I was so against it. I’m even working on a third book that will be self-published!
