Hi everyone!

The

illoguild
recently hosted our third Live session. We talked about process ranging from character development to cover design. Someone asked us this question in the chat: How did you learn how to pace a children’s book?

What a great question! My immediate answer was: By reading tons of kids books! And continuing to read more books, because I’m always learning.

So today I’d like to share a few pages from books that are on my desk. Then I’ll share some practical tips based on my experience illustrating books.
